1. Dont eat or drink out there cos it costs a small fortune
2. It rains most days
3. Reykavik is the most northerly capital in the world
4. the population is less than 300,000
5. 60% of iceland was covered in trees. now its about 1 %. they chopped them down. oops. big mistake.
6. its never hot. And its never well cold.
7. Freindly people but some are a bit bossy. i.e. " you!, get on the bus. NOW!
8. They all speak english
9. The geothermal pools smell of eggs. Its a sulphar thing
10. Rugged volcanic rock landscape with lots of water.
11. A small mea for two in pizza hut will cost you about £ 35. I told you it was expensive
12. Hot springs everywhere. supplies the island with hot water and electricity.
13. Dont stand too close to the geysir. An average of 7 tourists a year get scalded.
14. Iceland is on tectonic land plate. And is pulling itself apart
